New (small) project!

Okay. I thought of an idea for a project-ish type of thing that I want to give to Chris at his book tour. It really isn’t even a project, just a small token of appreciation from ALL his fans, even the ones who can only attend his book tour in spirit.

I know a lot of people have been upset that they didn’t really give Chris much variety on his book tour. I personally would rather have him do one tour stop in my own home state of Ohio and go to two other locations, instead of going to three different cities here in Ohio (Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati, all of which are within two and a half hours of each other). But I digress. My point being, I know that there are a lot of people who can’t make it to his tour, either because they live abroad or because they can’t travel to another state, or whatever the situation may be.

I want those fans to be able to get their message and love and support to Chris, too. Which is why I want to deliver a group letter to him on July 28 on behalf of everybody who can’t make it to one of the signings. I’m thinking of maybe letting anyone who wants to participate submit a SHORT (one or two sentence) message of support to Chris. Think about it this way: at the signings, we’ll all only have a couple seconds to say something to him because events like this tend to move extremely fast. Just submit a message that, if (in an ideal world) you DID get to go to one of the signings, you would be allowed to deliver verbally in the few seconds you would be allowed to talk to him.

I haven’t decided on a length limit yet for the full letter (I’m thinking maybe 30-35 sentences, depending on how many messages I get). I’m going to arrange all the (short!) messages into an order that makes sense and that flows nicely, then write the full thing out on a sheet of special paper and make it look all pretty (I’ll post pictures when it’s all done) and hand it to him at the Book Loft in Columbus on July 28. :D

Please don’t think I’m trying to be exclusive by limiting this to people who can’t go to the book tour, but those of you who CAN go will be able to write him a letter and hand it to him in person, or whatever. I want those fans who are unable to attend one of the tour dates to be able to show Chris their support as well. I think everyone should have a chance to be noticed by their hero, which is why I find it extremely annoying when people who already have tweets from Chris or other celebrities tweeting said celebrities OVER and OVER again, trying to get another reply, when there are hundreds of thousands of fans who are still trying for their first reply (I find it extremely rude and selfish when I see people doing that. For crying out loud, just be happy with what you have). It’s the same kind of situation here. This will give all of those fans who don’t have the opportunity to attend a signing to let Chris know just how much he means to them.

Please do NOT start submitting messages just yet. I have my ask box open if you have any questions, but when I start accepting (SHORT! :) I cannot stress that enough!) messages I will open the submissions box just like I did for the original video project. I’m going to be pretty busy at work this week, and this weekend I’m going to Cleveland with my mom, so I most likely won’t open up submissions until after the first of the month. I’ll let you guys know.

Like I said, if you have any questions, please drop them in my ask :) thank you all for your support and I look forward to working on this project to help send Chris even more well-deserved love. :D

(also, sorry for any typos, I’m on Safari on my phone and my battery is low. Interestingly enough, I typed out the very first post on this blog, which explained the whole idea of Project 527, on my phone while the battery was dying. Funny how that worked out. :P)
